OverviewThe Opportunity The Technical Service Organisation has currently an open position for a Technical Service Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a motivated person with gained experience, focusing on in-house technical, maintenance, calibrate, and validate and repairing our sold portfolio laboratory instruments. ProfileThe purpose of the Technical Service Engineer role is to install, repair, calibrate and validate the instruments in house or at customers’ site. She/He is responsible for processing customer requests, resolving technical issues, handling general enquiries, cross-referencing, expediting, and communicating with internal teams, suppliers, customers and sales representatives. She/He serves as a liaison with all parties to enable sales growth. The Technical Service Engineer seeks to achieve customer satisfaction in every transaction and can play a key role in assisting the sales team to identify ‘solution selling’ opportunities. How You Will Thrive And Make An ImpactIncrease competitive advantage and drive customer satisfaction by building trust and developing relationships. Provide higher technical support. Help to meet customer needs and provide qualified technical service, solutions, installation qualifications, operation qualifications, performance qualification. Develop proactive solutions to create opportunities for selling the VWR portfolio of products and services. Follow up with internal teams, suppliers, and customers on any outstanding issues. Proactively interact with field sales and sales representatives (CSR). Provide high-level quality service to enable sales growth. Efficiently coordinate information flow. Utilise local cross-functional contacts to help achieve targets. Utilise VWR CRM database to manage customer requests, interactions and information that will increase effectiveness and aid the level of technical service performance and results. What We Are Looking ForHigh Technical / Professional School Qualification plus 5+ years of experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment where there is a solution based selling approach Degree level education advantageous Demonstrates ability to effectively utilize technology platforms including CRM Tools A good understanding of the company’s products, promotions, services and solution offerings for customers, as well as the underlying work processes, operational policies and procedures Mandatory deep technical & electronic knowledge Strong verbal, written and Microsoft office package skills essential A good understanding of relationship types Italian mother tongue and fluent in oral and written English, preferably 1 or 2 more languages Able to work in a matrix organization Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to comfortably interact with various client (local& Export)/supplier types (e.g. technical, end user, and economic buyers) Good time management Problem solving Stress Management Team player with professional approach Highly customer focused as well as proactive and team focused.
