Job PurposePrimary function : The Driveline LTE identifies the design requirements that should be validated in Product Validation department for future tractor production. He/She defines the test plan (DVP) and coordinates the execution taking responsibilities of deliverables in line with milestones, and interfacing with test engineers design engineers and program management who are assigned to each task. He/She verifies the correct matching between requirements and product validation tests methods and results and finds synergies to optimize the total effort of the group for the required validation. He/She requires to the Testing Operational Team to assign resources to each test showing resource conflicts to his/her manager and helping in finding non-conventional solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Collect reliable information considering CNH experience, quality data, development requirement and resources availability, available timing to define the best trade-off activity plan.
- Set the priorities among the different test required assuring they are correctly scheduled and completed for project milestones
- Deal with Product validation teams to obtain vehicles, driveline, components, test rooms, people resources availability with the correct timing, using CNH internal tools. Shows resource conflicts to his/her manager and support to find non-conventional solutions.
- Collect and synthesize the multitude of requirements of various kinds in documents easily accessible by third parties.
- Take appropriate technical risks based on experience and development knowledge.
- Determine if the component(s) / system(s) under evaluation are operating according to the intended Design criteria.
- Diagnose problems to determine and implement corrective action, supporting the core project team.
- Collect and analyze test data, use test data to identify trends, problems.
- Interface effectively with support groups and customers, such as Design Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.
- Engage the operational people (white and blue collars) assigned to activities explaining targets and backgrounds.
- Coordinate activities of outsourcing test supplier (also out of Italy)
- Communicate data with others effectively; write formal, supporting test engineer to write technical test reports.
- Support Test Engineer to determine required test instrumentation, data acquisition and test control equipment.
- Support Test Engineer to provide direction to lab staff as well as hands on involvement in the installation, set-up, and operation of test automation, instrumentation, data acquisition and support equipment required to perform tests.
- Apply and improve safety procedures.
- Available to travel off-shore (Europe, US, etc.) for short periods (1-2 weeks) to support assigned tasks.
- Good computer skills with Word, Excel, MS Office suite.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Experience with project management/scheduling methods
- Experience on tractors preferred
- Technical leadership skill to guide validation processes and discussions.
- Precision in technical bureaucracy management
- Ability to work independently and recognize issues that need to be escalated.
- Knowledge of agricultural or construction equipment systems and operational experience preferred.
- Fluent English level .
- Technical University Graduation (Mech Engineering or similar) with 5+ ye
