If you are eager to implement effective safety improvements, inform managers of compliance issues and safety improvement opportunities, apply to join our team in Amazon Operations as a Graduate Safety Specialist You are provided extensive safety training and development as an entry level Safety Specialist towards becoming an exceptional safety leader.Key Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems.Support management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekends.Locations:Kemps Creek, NSWBella Vista, NSWBrisbane, QLDRavenhall, VICBasic QualificationsGraduation date within the last 24 months or will be completing studies prior to start date of the role.Completed a tertiary qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).Candidates with degree (or equivalent) qualifications not in Safety disciplines but who have relevant experience.Engineering Degree considered provided the candidate has an interest and passion in Safety.Preferred QualificationsInterest in or previous experience in safety related employment.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially around health and safety needs to all levels of the organization.Ability to adapt well to fast‑paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.Prior internship experience in OH&S (desirable).Acknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
