Project objectives
To develop and apply solutions for modelling, analysing and virtualising logistics and manufacturing systems, with a focus on
material handling, storage and picking processes.
Planned activities:
Literature review
Selection of case studies for the virtualisation of manufacturing and logistics processes
Definition of a performance dashboard to support industrial applications
Development of dynamic simulation models (visual interactive simulation) and analytical models for plant layout, production
material handling automation and distribution logistics
Application of the models to real-world case studies and multi-scenario analysis
Development of decision-support systems (DSS) for simulation and virtualisation of manufacturing/logistics systems
