OverviewICT systems design.At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.Your impactWithin our Electrical Department in the Italy office we are looking for Senior Electrical Engineer.ResponsibilitiesPower and lighting electrical systems, earthing, lightning etc. designLife safety and security systems designICT systems designCoordinate assigned projects locally, and with other Jacobs OfficesKnowledge in local and international technical codesKnowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)Perform studies and execution of project design activitiesAccountability on electrical project schedule, progress reports and cost estimates and change management processSupervise Juniors & Intermediate electrical engineers and designers. Interface with design group to monitor and control project schedule, electrical hours and electrical cost for their area of responsibilityEnsure consistency and integrity of electrical design throughout project and review design for logic and functionalityPerform design of plant distribution system including protection schemeDevelop detailed electrical specifications for the projectDefine and develop the work share scope of work and execute effectively the work as per project requirementsPerform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systemsQualificationsDegree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 10 years of experience in the specifications, engineering, design, construction and start-up with EPC/EPCM consulting firmsExperience in Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Buildings business would be an assetExperience in high, medium and low voltage design and equipment would be an assetResponsibilities as a Lead Engineer on medium sized projects or Area Lead on large sized projects with technical support and leadership.
