Join to apply for the Liability Underwriter role at Allianz ItaliaBased in Milan and reporting to the Liability Team, you will be in charge of developing and executing the strategy for the Liability & Environmental Impairment Liability risks into the Italian market. With strong ties to the Group, you will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will be also the contact person for agents and/or brokers working with the Liability Team.Key Responsibilities Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelinesSteer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Liability to drive the achievement of financial targetsProactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end to end underwriting life cycleWork closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-sellingEnsure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory frameworkProactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified productsSupport the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)Communicate local business strategy externallyKey Requirements/Skills/Experience Master's degree in Law or EconomicsAt least 3 to 5 years' proven experience in underwriting profitable Liability business for corporate clientsPreference if also experienced in PI / D&O / Cyber Risks / Legal Expenses as well as in Multinational Clients/Programs.Proven leadership skillsExpertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycleSound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skillsIdeally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordingsIdeally experience in driving underwriting projectsAble to work in an international organizationFluent in English (both written and spoken)Data analyticsVery good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative toolsAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
