DesignerCANDIDATES THAT WOULD IMPRESS USPROFILE:You graduated with a Master of Engineering and you have proven experience in the field of configuration managementYou have already worked in an integrated team within large scopes combining specific developments and off-the-shelf solutions; furthermore, you particularly appreciate collaborative work and enjoy stimulating exchangesYou have outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion to solve difficult issuesYou are looking for challenge through unforeseen events and business emergenciesYou love to invest in the development of othersYou are recognised for your pragmatism, commitment and rigorCOMPETENCIES:You are able to apply configuration management in line with the contractual requirements and with various stakeholdersYou have great knowledge of systems integration principles (system, hardware and software)You master relevant tools like those related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)You are able to adapt to various development model practices and to apply Agile principles and Lean ManagementYou are able to manage complexityYou are able to thrive forward in changing environments and manage changeYou are able to create buy-in explaining / detailing your needs and initiativesLIFE AS A THALES HARDWARE CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT ROLECoordinate all the Configuration Management activities within your projects in collaboration with all the stakeholders, in particular the Hardware Manager (HW WPM) and the Solution CMEstablish and/or implement the Configuration Management PlanSpecify the Configuration Management requirements to subcontractors and suppliers through statements of work and ensure that:The Configuration Management requirements are properly implemented (development of the SOW, etc.)The Configuration Management requirements are respectedParticipate in the selection of configuration items and to the establishment of the various breakdown structuresEnsure identification activities piloting and implementation (CI selection, breakdown structures identification, baseline needs…)Manage the corrections and evolutions on the projects; lead the commissions (TEB/CCB)Establish the configuration baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL, and all baselines according to project’s needs)Ensure the recording and the restitution of the configuration statusPerform configuration verificationsParticipate in end of phase reviews (PDR, CDR…)Raise awareness, advise and share best practices with the various contributors on the implementation of configuration managementYOUR CAREER AT THALESFuture opportunities will allow you to discover other domains or sites.
