For a primary Italian multinational Tier-1 Automotive Group, having headquarter near Verona, we are looking for an:


Industrial and financial Controller – Mexico


The successful candidate will be responsible for the industrial controlling activities of a manufacturing plant located in Mexico.

The position combines industrial controlling, monthly closing and group reporting responsibilities, working closely with the local management and the Group Finance organization.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for a Finance/Controlling professional looking to start or accelerate an international career within a leading Italian Tier-1 Automotive Group.

The selected candidate will initially join the Group Headquarters for a 6–8 month training period, aimed at gaining a deep understanding of the company's industrial processes, controlling systems, reporting standards and finance procedures. Following this initial training, the candidate will relocate to Mexico under a local Mexican employment contract.

Over time, the role may evolve towards responsibility for the controlling activities of the wider Americas region, including Mexico, Brazil and the USA.


Key Responsibilities

Managing the industrial controlling activities of the Mexican manufacturing plant

Preparing and coordinating monthly financial closings and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Group

Monitoring industrial costs, profitability, production performance and key operational KPIs

Analysing actual results versus Budget, Forecast and previous periods, identifying variances and their key drivers

Managing and analysing industrial costs by Bill of Materials (BOM / product structure), ensuring accurate monitoring of material costs, conversion costs and product profitability

Supporting the Plant Manager and local management with financial analysis and business insights

Preparing management reporting and financial information for submission to the Group consolidation process

Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes for the plant

Monitoring manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, overheads, scrap and production efficiencies, inventories

Working closely with Operations, Production and other local functions to improve cost control and operational performance

Ensuring compliance with Group controlling, accounting and reporting procedures

Acting as a key interface between the Mexican plant and the Group Headquarters

Supporting internal and external audit activities and ensuring the quality and reliability of financial information

Over time, potentially expanding the scope of responsibility towards the controlling activities of the Mexico, Brazil and USA region

Requirements

Proven experience in plant controlling, preferably within industrial, manufacturing or multinational environments

Solid knowledge of industrial controlling, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and monthly closing processes

Good knowledge of management control systems structured by Bill of Materials (BOM), with the ability to analyse product costs starting from the individual components, raw materials and production processes

Experience in analysing manufacturing costs and operational performance

Strong understanding of financial reporting and consolidation processes

  • Motivation and ability to build and implement a management control system starting from a greenfield environment, defining processes, KPIs, reporting and analytical methodologies
  • Experience or strong interest in the design and implementation of industrial controlling processes.
  • Supporting the company in the implementation of a new ERP system, with particular focus on Finance, Controlling and Industrial Costing processes.
  • Ability to structure cost controls by Bill of Materials (BOM), starting from individual components and key industrial cost drivers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a hands-on and business-oriented approach


Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both Finance and Operations

Strong interest in developing an international career and willingness to relocate to Mexico
