Overview The Engineer is primarily responsible for the detailed design and engineering of industrial electric heating systems and components. This includes the development of custom heating solutions for a variety of industrial applications, ensuring compliance with international standards and coordination with global teams. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include Review engineering orders for electric heating systems, assessing time requirements, technical complexity, and compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards and certifications. Design and development of heating elements, control panels, and complete heating systems using Thermon engineering tools. Coordination with engineering teams in other locations for project handovers and technical alignment. Day-to-day management of engineering projects within the Italian office, ensuring timely and accurate execution. Provide technical support for internal teams and clients, including troubleshooting and resolution of design‑related issues. Conduct on‑site support activities such as installation supervision, commissioning, training, and diagnostics. Collaborate with the Sales team to develop technical proposals, cost estimations, and revisions tailored to customer needs. Liaise with external sales representatives to support key accounts and strategic projects. Review and validate engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance. Key Characteristics, Competencies and Skills Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles, in the context of industrial heating applications. Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and standards. Proficiency in engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Strong organizational skills and ability to present technical documentation clearly. Structured and methodical approach to planning and execution. Fluent in both Italian and English.
