The role requires a strong technical mindset, hands‑on experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.The position reports directly to the Field Service Team Leader.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of navigation and control systems according to defined work plansCarry out tests, adjustments, and fine‑tuning of navigation equipment to ensure optimal functionalityPerform installation and pre‑commissioning checks, including configuration and calibration.Lead or support commissioning activities and ensure proper system handover to the customer or shipyardExecute complex repairs and overhauls independently when requiredMaintain clear and professional communication with customers and project stakeholders during service executionEnsure all work is carried out in compliance with NACOS Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards as well as customer‑specific site proceduresPrepare and finalize service and commissioning reports in a timely and accurate mannerIdentify potential improvements and promote NACOS products and solutions to customersSupport the continuous improvement of service procedures and tools by providing field feedbackKey RequirementsTechnical education (diploma or degree) in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering disciplineMinimum 2 years of relevant field experience on board cruise or merchant vesselsSolid understanding of automation and navigation systemsStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform both hardware and software adjustmentsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentationFluent in English (spoken and written); Italian proficiency is an advantageHands‑on, customer‑oriented, and capable of working independently as well as within a teamExcellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detailWillingness to travel internationally and work onboard vessels or at shipyards as requiredWhy choose us and why we’d choose you AtNACOS , we empower people to take ownership, collaborate, and innovate.
