Engineering Data Coordinator

Job Overview:The Engineering Data Coordinator is responsible for managing and governing engineering data across multiple engineering disciplines and systems, ensuring compliance with Client’s specifications, standards and project execution philosophies. The role requires a strong engineering background combined with expertise in engineering data management, digital workflows and cross-functional coordination.

Essential Qualifications and

Education:
Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience working with major engineering design and information/data management systemsStrong understanding of engineering data management, tagging methodologies, AWP principles and project information requirements.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering data and client data handover activities.

Responsibilities:
Engineering Data GovernanceAnalyse and develop project-specific data management requirements and workflows, including:        o Project Class Libraries        o Tagging Procedures and Standards        o Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) philosophy and hierarchy        o Engineering database delivery requirements and frequencies        o Client-specific data management specificationsEstablish and maintain engineering data governance processes to ensure consistency, integrity and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Data Quality ManagementEnsure the quality, accuracy and completeness of engineering data across all project systems and disciplines.
Validate:          o Correctness of tags        o Completeness of mandatory properties and attributes        o Consistency and alignment of identifiers across 2D, 3D and other engineering data sourcesMonitor and resolve data discrepancies, conflicts and inconsistencies.
Evaluate and implement data validation rules and controls within key engineering tools to minimize manual errors and prevent non-compliant tagging practices.
Data Deliverables ManagementCoordinate the preparation and maintenance of engineering data deliverables, including:        o Vendor data templates        o Asset Registers        o Life Cycle Information (LCI) deliverables        o Engineering master data registers        o Client-specific data packagesManage the delivery of engineering databases and related documentation to the Client in accordance with approved Data Handover Plans and project requirements.
Issue Resolution and Stakeholder ManagementIdentify, track, and expedite the resolution of data-related issues, including:        o Data quality concerns        o Process gaps        o Classification and tagging conflicts        o Cross-discipline data integration issuesProvide regular status updates and reporting to project management and Client representatives.
Act as the primary focal point for engineering data-related discussions and coordination activities.
Collaboration with IT and Digital TeamsWork closely with project IT and engineering systems teams to implement required data management solutions, enhancements and corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement of engineering data processes, standards and digital execution strategies.
