About the roleIn this role, the Tax Manager will work within the Payment Institute of the Scalapay Group, a regulated entity under Bank of Italy control, and be responsible for monitoring the company’s fiscal matters. The Tax Manager will directly report to the Finance Director of the Scalapay Group.ResponsibilitiesProduce VAT, LIPE, Intrastat declarations, withholding tax and other recurring ordinary tax topics (with support from external tax advisors);Prepare the annual declaration (IRES and IRAP);Handle fiscal topics for cross‑border entities (e.g., transfer pricing);Monitor the evolution of tax and regulations, ensuring fiscal compliance and timely implementation of regulatory updates (Italian and European);Work closely with the legal department to check fiscal aspects;Collaborate with fiscal advisors of the Group;Close annual statutory financial statements and contribute to the annual Group Consolidated Financial Statements;Ensure grant compliance and respect of internal policy and procedures;Support the department in improving accounting and fiscal processes and procedures;Take part in ad hoc projects and drive projects on your own (e.g., VAT Group and Fiscal consolidation). QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting / tax for financial services;5‑8 years of experience in finance / tax department or chartered accountancy firm;Excellent tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, etc.);Good working knowledge of OIC (ITA GAAP), IAS / IFRS;Experience in preparing financial statements (preferably from banks);Flexible, proactive, curious and self‑motivated with excellent organizational skills;Strong computer software skills, especially Excel;Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus.
