Overview We are looking for a Micro-Aerial Vehicle (MAV) Research Engineer. Responsibilities Problem-solving: Designing and developing algorithms and models by contributing to DeepPlants projects creatively and innovatively. Team participation: Communicate findings and insights effectively with team members through regular updates and scientific documentation. Management and deployment: advance the projects\' complete and continual improvement of implementation solutions. Required qualifications Master\'s degree in Aerospace, Electronic, or Robotics and Autonomous Systems Engineering. 2 years experience in MAV flight controller, MAVs design, model predictive control, flight dynamics (multirotor dynamics) and simulation. 1 year of experience in simulation with Gazebo (gz-sim) or AirSim. 2 years of experience in firmware development for flight controllers (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot). 2 years of experience in software tools: C/C++, Python, Linux operating system and ROS2, DDS protocol. 1 year of experience in integrating a variety of onboard sensors and payloads for MAVs. Experience on DJI Developer SDKs. Preferred qualifications Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, PX4 SITL, or VIO pipelines. Participation in research or competitions like MBZIRC, IARC, or university-level drone teams. Personal interest in plants, agriculture and in climate change resilience. Publications of research on MAV.
