Windows System Engineer

Windows Core is a Unit responsible for ensuring the development, provisioning, and operations of Microsoft Windows Core Services located on premises in many countries and extended into the most important cloud providers. Windows Core Services include Microsoft Authentication services (AD DS, AD FS, Azure Entra ID), DNS / DHCP, KMS.The unit is in the Infrastructure Operations Division of GOSP (Generali Operations Service Platform)We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our service rapidly expanding infrastructure.You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.Their main job profile involves designing and implementing computer systems, both software and network. Server professional ensures that the computer system responds efficiently to support the requirements of an organization.Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure that serve core servicesInstall, configure, test and maintain core services systemsProactively ensure the highest levels of services, systems and infrastructure availabilityMonitor and test core services performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixesMaintain security, backup, and redundancy strategieslinWrite and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasksParticipate in the design of information and operational support systemsProvide 2nd and 3rd level support, sometimes in stressful situation.Respond to critical off-hours requests in an On-Call rotationLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionProvide timely and creative solutions to difficult problemsRequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subjectProven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Core services environmentsSolid experience in the administration, hardening, secure and monitor Microsoft systems (e.g., ADDS, ADFS, DNS, DHCP)Strong experience in the Microsoft authentication services and protocolsSolid scripting skills on PowerShellGood networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP / IP)Fluent English (at least CEFR B2, written / spoken)Italian language – nice to haveCommunication and team workingEmpathy abilities, especially to understand customer needs and provide the best indications backAutonomy in the management of project activities and drafting of project documentationProblem solving and critical thinking skillsCapability to work in stressful situationsOther informationAvailability to travel internationally (Europe), for short trips.Site : GOSP office in residence country of candidate (IT, CZ, HU)Contract Type : Full time, permanentCompany ProfileGenerali Operations Service Platform provides IT and Procurement services to Generali Group companies.
