Please note that this position could be based in any Amazon Operations center across Italy, depending on availability and business needs. Location preferences will be checked during the recruitment process. The role is on-site, with relocation support provided as needed. As an Area/Shift Manager, you will lead a large and diverse team to ensure your area keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role involves managing operations, implementing team strategies, and working closely with colleagues to address challenges. No two days will be the same. Key responsibilities include: Promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing Analyzing and implementing corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity levels Supporting and leading a team, handling administrative tasks, and fostering a strong team culture Analyzing performance and suggesting process improvements Collaborating with other managers to standardize shift processes A day in the life: You will work shifts at an operational site, focusing on safety standards and process efficiency. Your day will include routine team management, operational tasks, escalations, process improvements, and contingency planning. You will work with colleagues and external partners, analyze data and performance metrics, and discuss technical improvements with engineers. Basic qualifications: University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) completed before start date Willingness to work non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends Proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language Preferred qualifications: Experience communicating with stakeholders and leadership Experience in a logistics environment Experience with MS Office suite Amazon is an equal opportunities employer, committed to diversity and privacy.
