Position We are looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer in Rivoli (TO). The new resource will support the Chief Engineer in coordinating program execution according to technical targets and act as the direct interface with the Customer for APQP engineering aspects. Key Responsibilities Reporting to Chief Engineer, leading APQP engineering topics (DFMEA, SFMEA, SC/CC list, lessons learned implementation) Lead integration of design open points from APQP activities of other stakeholders (PFMEA, control plan) and coordinate other teams (FuSa, SW, GME) in integrating their deliverables in the design (CO- FMEDA, EoL testing) Support the approval process for customer input requirements, coordinating with the System Requirements Engineer Support product quality readiness according to company processes and standards Support Technical Reviews Assessments of suppliers and sub-suppliers in collaboration with the Product Design Lead Support DVP&R execution and reporting of test results, coordinating problem solving when needed Collaborate with the Engineering Project Manager in the Risk Management process Job Position Requirements Education: University bachelor degree Professional background Proven experience in a similar role within automotive or aeronautic industries Solid understanding of Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) systems, including architecture, functionality, and integration aspects Proficiency in technical drawing and mechanical design, with the ability to interpret and create detailed engineering documentation Ideally, familiarity with powertrain systems and transmissions, including their components, interactions, and performance characteristics Hard Skills Essential: Fluent English-speaking skills and willingness to travel Experience in Electric Drive Unit design and development Knowledge of automotive product development processes Considered as a plus: Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms Master’s degree in engineering or MBA 3+ years experience in similar role in automotive, mobile or aeronautic companies Soft Skills Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Work globally in cross-functional teams Critical thinking and problem-solving skills “If you are not contacted within 60 days after your application, the search should be considered filled.
