Organizational SettingFAO’s Human Resources Division (CSH) delivers strategies, policies, and support to FAO Offices worldwide, ensuring a diverse, skilled, and motivated workforce.Reporting LinesThe Human Resources Officer (Medical Insurance and Wellbeing) reports to the Senior Human Resources Officer supervising the Social Security Branch, CSHS.Technical FocusMonitors, reviews, and coordinates staff wellbeing initiatives, ensuring cross‑cutting programmes related to HR policies, social security benefits, and the mental health strategy.Key FunctionsPlans and delivers services in designated human resource fields.Consults with business partners on HR requests and policy interpretations.Analyzes data and trends for plans, policies, and reports.Reviews ongoing service delivery and coordinates updates.Collaborates on training materials and capacity development.Leads short‑term work groups and participates in organization‑wide committees.Specific FunctionsSupports monitoring and coordination of day‑to‑day activities of HR wellbeing initiatives.Conducts research on emerging trends and best practices related to staff wellbeing and social security matters.Reviews and updates administrative frameworks related to social security and wellbeing.Supports implementation of the FAO Human Resources Personnel Support Plan during emergencies and crises.Provides technical support for the implementation processes related to HR social security and staff wellbeing.Supports annual wellbeing events and outreach initiatives.Analyses escalated complaints pertaining to social security benefit claims.Acts as HR focal point for employee wellbeing related committees and liaises with stakeholders.Performs other duties as required.Minimum RequirementsAdvanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a related field.Five years of relevant experience in administration, legal, or HR management, including staff wellbeing, programme management, HR entitlement, or medical insurance.Proficiency in English (level C) and intermediate proficiency in another FAO language.CompetenciesResults FocusTeamworkCommunicationBuilding Effective RelationshipsKnowledge Sharing and Continuous ImprovementTechnical/Functional SkillsExperience in field positions is desirable.Extensive experience in staff wellbeing, programme management, HR entitlement, or medical insurance.Experience in drafting clear reports and policy papers.HR professional certification is an asset.Organizational Diversity StatementFAO is committed to workforce diversity in terms of gender, nationality, background, and culture.Qualified female applicants, qualified nationals of non‑under‑represented members, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.All selected candidates will undergo reference and background checks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
