OverviewHIL System & Automation Specialist (Ref.XX4895)ContractPermanent contractStatusStaffStellantis EEAV organization is seeking a HIL System & Automation Specialist on the HIL Engineering team to work on Hardware-In-the-Loop systems. The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in development of HIL systems (dSPACE, NI, etc.) with thorough knowledge of HIL simulator hardware, ECU electrical interface definition and harness development. He/She will be the interface between HIL development team and external teams for HIL requirement analysis and impact analysis. In this position, the candidate shall interface with cross-functional team of ECU Hardware, Systems, SW, Controls, Plant Modeling and Calibration engineers to rapidly resolve HIL simulation environment and/or integration issues, triage, troubleshooting during commissioning of HIL test properties. The candidate must be a strong team player, systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise (ADAS, EE, electric and hybrid systems). The engineer must be willing to work in fast-paced environment. The engineer will be working with global teams (NA, EMEA, APAC and LATAM). Other responsibilities include conducting benchmarks, evaluating new HIL technologies, working with teams on process, methodology and tools.Main Activities / ResponsibilitiesHIL hardware and software system development and commissioning, including Vehicle and Body/Chassis/PWT HIL Hardware Simulator commissioning.Wiring design for HIL simulator bench and harness fabrication for HIL bench.Identify objectives of HIL test benches and feasibility studies for power and communication channels.HIL hardware selection/upgrade and maintenance; track changes due to vehicle loop reductions and update design documents and test bench designs.HIL hardware verification and validation; cross-functional collaboration to resolve HIL simulation environment and integration issues.Benchmarking, evaluating new HIL technologies; collaborating on process, methodology and tools.Additional responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams (ECU Hardware, Systems, SW, Controls, Plant Modeling and Calibration) to rapidly resolve HIL issues and support commissioning of HIL test properties. The role involves collaboration with global teams (NA, EMEA, APAC and LATAM) and adherence to project timelines.#LI-Hybrid#L1-BG1ProfileBasic Qualifications• Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering degree from an accredited university• Minimum 1 year of professional engineering experience in electrical/electronics, hardware, software or controls• Knowledge and experience with ADAS, EE, electric and hybrid Systems• Demonstrated Hardware-In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE, NI HIL systems)• Experience with HIL bench commissioning• Experience in diagnostic management: CANalyzer, CANoe• Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g. Matlab and Simulink, ASM, CarMaker)• Experience with Automotive Ethernet, UDS, XCP protocol• Familiarity with trace capture, data acquisition and analysis tools (ETAS INCA)• Experience with HIL testing, vehicle integration and validation• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team; cross-functional collaborationPreferred Qualifications:• Master of Science in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechatronic or Computer Engineering• Experience with MIL/SIL validation and verification• Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and specific simulation software• Experience in AGILE or Scrum framework• Experience in Test Automation• Ability to adapt to changing environment with minimal impact on productivityAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
