OverviewFinOps Specialist, AWS Finance Automation and Reporting Management (AFARM) team. Amazon seeks a FinOps Specialist to join the AFARM team based out of Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be responsible for creating month end close reports, dashboards and supporting processes for various AWS finance teams. Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the technical ability to implement report automation are preferred requirements for this position.
Key ResponsibilitiesTransition and manage month-end close finance reporting using tools such as MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, IBM (TM1) Cognos, Oracle, and other relevant tools. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation. Proactively identify optimization and automation opportunities aiming to reduce manual effort and increase controllership. Collaborate with automation experts as needed to implement solutions.
Provide data-driven analytics and support to business partners in identifying and resolving issues. Drive a rigorous and proactive cadence of communications, keeping stakeholders informed on current statuses and engaged in key decisions. Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly business reviews on the program’s performance. Basic Qualifications6+ years of finance experience.6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills. Preferred Qualifications6+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
