FAAM is building a Gigafactory in Teverola for the production of cells, modules, and battery packs for Electric Vehicle, Energy Storage, Industrial, and Special applications.In joining us you will take part in a very strategic project for the European lithium battery value chain.We are looking for a Cell Designer with experience in li‑on cell development and a strong attitude to change management who wants to work with us in Teverola, Caserta, Italy.We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, purpose‑driven professional who wants to help us in the deployment of one of the most important projects in Europe.Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToDevelop and produce prototype lithium‑ion cell designs for Energy Storage Systems, Industrial and bespoke applicationsEffectively technology transfer new designs to production team.Lead studies on modelling of pouch/prismatic/cylindrical cells, both physical, thermal and electrochemicalWork with Materials Teams to down‑select emerging advanced materials and integrate into iterative designsSupport management in the deployment of the technological Roadmap – including (but not limited to) technologies, active materials and processingMonitor market trends, and work with suppliers to maintain an awareness of state of the art technologies, materials and processesAnalyze data and main parameters to improve the overall battery system, including the BMSParticipate to European and global conferences and represent the company’s projectSupport the construction/improvement of the teamRequirementsDegree in Electrochemical or Chemical EngineeringAt least 4 years of experience from Li‑ion battery cell development at a battery company and/or R&D companyStrong knowledge of cathode and anode materials, as well as other components (e.g. separators/electrodes, battery devices, etc.)Experience in the manufacturing process of Li‑on cellsExperience of modelling of cell performance is a STRONG PLUSExperience at a battery company is a STRONG PLUSExperience in team‑building and time managementExperience in R&D projectsFluency in English (oral and written) is a MUSTFluency in Italian (oral and written) is a PLUSAbility to work under pressure, with flexibility and to manage tight deadlinesGood pitch presentation ability is a PLUSWork conditionsLocation in Teverola, Caserta, Southern ItalyLive and work close to Naples, Costiera Amalfitana, Capri, and RomeStimulating work environment with a private and pleasant officeFull time jobSalary to be defined with Management (negotiable)Start date: ASAP, on siteUseful LinksFAAM WebsiteState aid: Commission approves €3.2 billion public support by seven Member States for a pan‑European research and innovation project in all segments of the battery value chain: LinkSend your application to : FacebookTwitter#J-18808-Ljbffr
