medical strategy lead oncology (home based) provides strategic medical and scientific expertise to iqvia in the hematology oncology therapeutic area.
Essential functionsessential functionswork independently under supervision of the hematology oncology center of excellence head.
provide scientific and clinical advice to internal stakeholders and develop proposals, including protocol design and clinical development plans.
analyze mechanisms of action, mine data, assess patient recruitment, standards of care and competitive landscape.
maintain awareness of latest literature in hematology and oncology.
participate in client meetings, proposal discussions, bid defense, post-award transition and governance meetings.
coach and prepare project teams to align execution strategy with medical considerations.
collaborate with business development, operations, commercial consulting services, real-world services and other medical strategy leads.
act as internal and external consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and clinical trials.
Qualificationsmd oncologist with training in hematology (solid-tumor experience a plus).
5-7 years relevant experience, including at least 3 years in the biopharmaceutical industry.
proven ability to lead and manage research and development projects.
Professional skills- excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; fluent english (written and spoken).
- innovative, strategic thinker with strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
- ability to work in undefined specifications and collaborate across therapeutic areas.
- proficient with technology applications, databases and internet research.
- decision-making capability with limited information.
