We are supporting a leading organisation within the logistics and supply chain sector in the recruitment of a WMS Implementation Consultant .

The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation and continuous improvement of Warehouse Management System solutions, working closely with operational, IT and technical teams throughout the full implementation lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role covering requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, go-live and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end WMS implementations, ensuring the delivered solution remains aligned with initial business and operational requirements.
  • Gather, analyse and refine business requirements for new functionality and process improvements.
  • Define and maintain functional solution designs, requirements traceability and change requests.
  • Act as a key link between warehouse operations, IT, development teams and other technical stakeholders.
  • Lead and execute functional testing, integration testing and user/customer acceptance testing.
  • Support WMS implementations through cutover, go-live and hypercare.
  • Analyse proposed solutions, identifying functional gaps and recommending appropriate improvements.
  • Investigate system issues and defects, supporting root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Work closely with operational teams and process owners to understand warehouse processes and translate requirements into system solutions.
  • Support operational teams with process discussions, system understanding and adoption.
  • Monitor implementation progress against agreed milestones and KPIs.
  • Coordinate priorities, decisions and activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Produce clear documentation and communicate project progress, risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years' experience in WMS implementation, software delivery or supply chain technology.
  • Proven experience within logistics, warehousing or supply chain environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Blue Yonder WMS experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience across the WMS implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, cutover, go-live and post-go-live support.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes and the interaction between operational requirements and WMS functionality.
  • Experience analysing system issues and supporting problem resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SQL knowledge is required.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and/or Xray would be advantageous.
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data from multiple sources and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively within a fast-moving project environment.
  • Comfortable working across different functions, teams and geographies.
  • Fluent Italian and English are required. Additional European languages, particularly French, would be advantageous.

Education

A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
