Better Future” puts innovation at the center of our strategy in everything we do, with a great sense of responsibility to guarantee a better future for our people, our consumers and our planet.Our team is expanding and we are looking for a newR&D Packaging Sustainability & Compliance SpecialistMain Purpose of the roleWithin the Group RDQ Packaging team, the new resource, will provide technical support to create a sustainable and compliant packaging portfolio.Location in EU will be flexible: Lainate (MI), Italy or Breda (NL) or Warsaw (PL).What you will doIn partner with Local or Group Regulatory Affairs, will provide technical support interpreting regulations or assessing Green Claims in the area of packaging sustainability;Drives the compliance assessment of packaging portfolio and recommend projects for proactively addressing relevant sustainability compliance issues;Partner and align with Packaging Development leads in charge of coordinating the execution of the sustainable projects pipeline/New Product Developments across the manufacturing countries;Coordinate and/or execute specific sustainability and compliance projects/activities liaising with Packaging Development team of manufacturing plants and Local Marketing of importing countries;Perform extensive research and monitoring (directly or indirectly) of the related technical external developments/guidelines and other requirements (e.g. retailers and voluntary schemes signed up by the local business) and collaborate to translate the multiple external inputs in relevant operational tools for Packaging Development teams;Support the development of internal policies, guidelines/procedures to streamline the packaging sustainability and compliance process; support their implementation by ad-hoc trainings, communications and tools;Support to foster a culture of sustainability through organizational communications and education;Participate in/at associations and forums.Our Perfect CandidateGraduate in scientific fields, ideally in Chemistry or Material Sciences or other related science disciplines with specialization in Packaging Materials and Technologies;At least 5 years of experience in Packaging Development, 3 years in Food Industry handling packaging sustainability portfolio is a plus;Good Knowledge of environmental science, circular economy principles, sustainable packaging principles and ecodesign, recycling processes and Design for Recyclability guidelines, industry trends;Excellent knowledge of major legal and voluntary packaging sustainability compliance frameworks;Curios and dynamic, agile when dealing with ambiguity or multiple inputs and able to recognize patterns and relationships;Strong communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, oral and written when convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;Good negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders;Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a fast paced and cultural diverse team environment;Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to lead multiple projects and define priorities;Highly motivated, critical thinker, goal oriented and easily adapts to change.What we offer:An empowering, stimulating work environment with training and development opportunities at national and international level;Human resources management systems certified by Top Employer;A complete wellbeing and welfare system that includes smart working, health and life insurance, parenting benefits, health promotion and much more;An inclusive work environment that values diversity;Possibility to join initiatives and projects of value for the environment and society.Here in Perfetti Van Melle there is a culture of respect and valorization of diversity.Therefore, applications, recruiting processes and development paths in the company are opportunities open to all people without any type of discrimination.Seniority level AssociateEmployment type Full-timeJob function ResearchIndustries Food and Beverage Services, Sugar and Confectionery Product Manufacturing, and Food and Beverage Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
