In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our culture of evolution and empathy centers on long-term career growth and development opportunities in an environment that embraces your unique skills and experience.Your role and responsibilitiesCollaborate effectively with team members, both business and technical, to understand data-driven challenges and opportunitiesMaintain a strong focus on learning, quality, and continuous improvementSupport the analysis and resolution of data inconsistencies and model performance issuesAssist in developing and experimenting with machine learning models and analytical solutions to improve insights and decision-makingContribute to data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis to enhance model performanceHelp document technical requirements and support the development of data-driven solutionsRequired educationBachelor's DegreePreferred educationBachelor's DegreeRequired technical and professional expertiseMinimum 2 years working as a data scientist with demonstrated involvement in AI-related projectsAcademic background in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related fieldFamiliarity with machine learning concepts and statistical modeling techniques through coursework or academic projectsEagerness to learn and support technical teams in identifying and resolving data-related challengesUnderstanding of data modeling concepts and database principlesBasic programming skills in SQL, Python, R or equivalent language for data analysis and model developmentInterest in obtaining relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Preferred technical and professional experienceAgile mindset - willingness to learn, adapt to changing priorities, take initiative, and apply critical thinkingOne of the following:Basic understanding of data governance principles and best practicesExposure to data visualization and storytelling using analytical toolsFamiliarity with cloud-based machine learning concepts and model deployment basicsFoundational knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data preprocessing techniquesAvailability to travel is requiredABOUT BUSINESS UNIT IBM Consulting is IBM’s consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
