Italy Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance and Planning Responsible for ensuring the companys tax compliance making sure all tax activities adhere to Italian and EU laws and regulations. Participate in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities and support business objectives. Tax Filing and Analysis Prepare and review tax returns including but not limited to corporate income tax and VAT. Conduct in-depth analysis of tax data to identify tax risks and potential tax savings opportunities. Tax Advisory and Support Provide tax advisory services to the companys management and various departments answering tax-related queries. Participate in the assessment of the tax implications of business transactions and investment decisions offering professional advice. Tax Risk Management Identify and manage tax risks developing and implementing risk mitigation measures. Collaborate with internal audit and external auditors to ensure tax compliance. Tax Audit and Inspection Prepare for and coordinate tax audits ensuring the completeness of tax documentation and records. Communicate with tax authorities to handle tax inspections and inquiries. Tax Training and Education Organize tax training to enhance employees understanding of tax regulations and company tax policies. Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge to ensure the teams expertise. International Tax Coordination Coordinate international tax affairs to ensure compliance across borders. Collaborate with international teams to address cross-border tax issues. Tax System and Process Optimization Evaluate and optimize tax processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Manage tax information systems to ensure data accuracy and security. Requirements Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field with a Masters degree preferred. Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience with Big 4 or other MV corporate tax management experience being an advantage. Professional Qualifications: Holding a tax professional qualification such as a Certified Tax Advisor or equivalent. Language Skills: Fluent in Italian and English with the ability to communicate professionally. Skills: Proficient in tax software and office software with strong analytical communication and teamwork abilities. Personal Qualities: Honest, responsible with good professional ethics and confidentiality awareness.
