Your tasksDevelop new titles with a focus on design, lifestyle & architectureIndependently manage multilingual book projects from concept to print, including budgeting and schedulingCollaborate closely with authors, translators, freelancers, and editors worldwide, as well as international institutions and image agenciesHandle image sourcing and clearance of text, image, artist, and photographer rightsProofread and edit texts to ensure accuracy and stylistic qualityCoordinate internally with design, production, press, and sales departmentsSupport the Editorial Director with projects and administrative tasksYour profileWe are seeking an experienced, self‑driven Editor with a strong track record in developing and publishing successful titles within the fields of design, lifestyle, and architecture. The ideal candidate brings proven editorial expertise, an eye for compelling content, and a portfolio of published works that demonstrate both creative vision and strong audience understanding.Several years of professional experience as an editor for design, lifestyle, and architecture topics, ideally in the field of illustrated booksMaster’s degree in a humanities discipline, design and architecture or a comparable fieldExcellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plusIn-depth expertise in clearing text and image rights as well as copyrightStrong affinity for text and confident stylistic judgment in editorial workKeen visual sense for image and text compositionExtensive international network within publishing and the design/lifestyle sectorNegotiation skills and a confident, professional demeanorFlexibility, resilience, and a solution‑oriented approach to teamworkInternational experience and intercultural competenceProficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and InDesignPlease include a list of your relevant publications with your application.We offerA creative, international work environment with diverse responsibilities in a dynamic, steadily growing family‑owned companyAn open corporate culture with flat hierarchies and fast decision‑making processesFlexible working hours and the option for partial remote workA permanent full‑time positionDaily exposure to high quality, exclusive imagery on a wide range of subjects#J-18808-Ljbffr
