We drive continuous improvement, and maintain all of the Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure our customers are met with the Amazon smile.Come join us, on our journeyAbout the RoleAs a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.Key Job ResponsibilitiesPromote a safe working environment by following all safety proceduresMaintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the buildingLead and audit preventative maintenance proceduresInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts usedMaintain a positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facilityDevelop training plans for service techniciansDevelop work plans for emergency repair of critical assetsMove up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodationShift ScheduleFront Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Typical hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 10‑hour shift with a half‑hour break.Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 10‑hour shift with a half‑hour break.Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Typical hours: 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM, 10‑hour shift with a half‑hour break.Back Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. For salaried roles, your Amazon package will include a sign‑on payment and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.Basic QualificationsHigh school or equivalent diploma1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experienceWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience4+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience3+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experiencePreferred QualificationsAssociate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical fieldExperience acting in a shift lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced techniciansExperience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operationsExperience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Continuous improvement mindsetWillingness to learn and grow within Amazon RMEExperience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.) to coordinate complex maintenance activities4+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles2+ years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenanceProject Management experienceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
