Renewable Energy & Data Centre Recruitment | Africa, Italy, France & Benelux Leap29 is supporting a high-growth renewable energy startup in Milan, backed by a major global energy group from the UK. We are seeking a Project Engineer to support utility‑scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the engineering and technical design of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.Prepare, review, and optimise layouts, yield assessments, and technical documentation.Coordinate with external engineering partners, EPC contractors, and internal development teams.Provide technical input for permitting, grid connection applications, and commercial decision‑making.Assist with feasibility studies, due diligence, and project configuration optimisation.Support Project Managers during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.Ensure designs comply with local regulations, industry standards, and grid requirements.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewables, or a related field.2–5+ years of experience in Solar PV, BESS, or broader renewable energy engineering.Strong understanding of PV plant design, grid requirements, and project development processes.Experience with design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, or similar).Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, scaling environment.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical teams.Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently in a hybrid setup.Excited to contribute to a high‑growth startup in its early stages.If you are a motivated renewable energy professional ready to make an impact in Italy’s energy transition, please apply via the link or contact Georgia Sumnall at Senior position: AssociateEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering, Project Management, and ManagementIndustries: Services for Renewable Energy, Energy Technology, and Engineering Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
