Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como aims to become one of the most exclusive resorts in Europe, representing the true elegant Italian but understated luxury experience for a worldwide Clientele.Our vision is to promote our welcoming, genuine and passionate culture to attract and engage exceptional talents, under the guidance of enthusiastic leaders.Our aim is to get the best out of each individual and being recognized as an employer of choice among the most exclusive hotels in the world.HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISORMandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’s Housekeeping Supervisor is in charge of Houseman and Room Attendants’ timesheets and workload and assures that guestrooms and open spaces have been correctly made up and are always tidy and clean according to MO standards and LQE’s principles.Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and comply with all Corporate and Hotel policies and standard operating proceduresMOHG Code of Conduct requires that all business activities and business decisions comply with general law, regulations and other requirementsSupport and adhere to all Policies & Procedures relating to Safe, Sound and Sustainable at Mandarin OrientalCarry out any additional duties requested by management related to hotel operational activitiesInspect, check and release hotel rooms for arrivals in accordance with set MO standardsSpot-check and monitor stayover rooms and vacant rooms in order to guarantee the highest service standards at all timeHave an overview of the daily occupancy, arrivals, departures, traces and important guests in houseCreate daily task sheets for room attendants with special projects and tracesConduct daily briefings and trainings for room attendantsMonitor stock in pantries and act accordingly if refill is neededCoordinate with other departments in order to guarantee timely release for arrivalsManage and overlook daily operations on assigned floorsTrain, coach and motivate room attendants in order to achieve the highest quality standardsBe customer focusedAlways help guests and anticipate their needsRecognize guests' preferences and needs in order to communicate them to the relevant departmentsComply with all MOHG Pillars, Department LQE’s and Guiding PrinciplesRequirementsMinimum of 3-years housekeeping experience and 2 years in a supervisory position, in a luxury resort or hotelAbility to communicate efficiently, respectfully and fairly in a diverse environmentFlexibility is paramount as it relates to the schedule for this position (AM, MID, Evening Shifts)Proficiency in English, Italian and an additional languagePassion for luxury environment and detailsWe believe a diverse and inclusive culture is better for everyone.
