The Finance Manager reports to the Group Financial Controller.Accountability for managing the finance department and compliance mattersCompliance with corporation tax, payroll taxes, and preparation of VAT returnsEnsure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports for the marketsSupport the Finance Team on timely budget pack preparation and submission, ensuring local finance budgeting and forecasting processes align with company financial schedulingCost analysis as a basis for decisions and investmentsAnalysis of project resultsResponsibility in compiling business results, cash flow reports and supporting business forecastsSupport the team in reviewing monthly revenue, unbilled debtor calculation, and deferred incomeSupport forecast submission and deviation analysisLead the month‑end activitiesPrepare cash flow forecast and follow upManage a complete set of reconciled balance sheet accountsTimely submission of key deliverables to managementLead price controlling and support the Finance Director for review and approval of all commercial proposals before submission to customers based on the delegation of authorityLead the approval of all purchases based on the delegation of authorityManagement of daily finance tasks and ensuring completion of duties regarding general and analytics accounting, supplier ledger, sales ledger, cashbooks, payroll and taxesEnsure precise and timely bank reconciliationEnsure precise and timely balance sheet reconciliationSupport the Finance team to perform precise and timely general ledger reconciliationBank account management and online bankingSupervise monthly payroll review and reconciliationSupervise invoice handling and paymentsReconciliation of inter‑company accounts and tracking of pan‑European billingAccountability in managing the finance tasks and compliance mattersManage and ensure the achievement of the annual auditsSupervision/Working With The Finance/Admin Team To EnsureCreate accurate sales ledger, including liaison with Operations to obtain information and attention to the pan‑European sales invoicesEnsure accurate supplier ledger and input of the monthly pan‑European supplier invoicesManage accruals and prepaymentsSupervise the office facility tasksSupervise and manage the car fleet.Supervise/Work With The Finance/Admin Team To EnsureEfficient supplier contracts signature, maintenance, renewal and negotiation.The Role Will Include Responsibilities At Procurement Level IncludingEnsure that procurement process and routines are in place as per company policies, and give constant contribution on policy improvementApprove purchases before the purchase process takes placeNegotiate with suppliers, ensuring a sustainable procurement relationshipTake initiative to lead efficiently changes (various projects)Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnershipsManagement of annual quality and compliance auditFinalize purchase details of orders and deliveriesExamine and test existing contracts to identify risk elements or opportunities for improvementCreate or maintain company general terms and conditions and ensure that all suppliers stick to themWorking PatternFull‑time roleRome – hybridQualificationsMust: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent job experience.Desirable: Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA for international accounting rules such as US GAAP or equivalent local certifications.Desirable: Master’s degree in accounting and/or business administration.ExperienceMust: Approximately 5 years relevant financial experience (likely at a medium‑sized company).Must: Approximately 2 years of team management experience.Must: Local tax and accounting experience.Must: Experience with financial analysis tools.Desirable: Experience finance work in project form.Desirable: Knowledge in accounting tools (e.g., payroll tools), JD Edwards, forecasting (Smartview) and reporting (Insight & Oracle PBCS) software.Desirable: Experience with change management.Desirable: Experience in an international accounting environment.Knowledge And Skills RequiredMust: Computer literate with good Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting software principles.Good leadership capacity with the ability to coach, motivate and lead others.Capable of taking initiative to drive the change of structural finance and operation
