The Keats Shelley is seeking a Marketing & Communications Officer to promote the work of the museum, engaging a wider audience with our collection, exhibitions, events and our mission to promote the Young British Romantics. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic storyteller with a passion for promoting cultural heritage.

Core duties of the role are outlined below

• Social media: Creation and implementation of an engaging social media strategy across all platforms, including specialised campaigns for important anniversaries and celebrations;
• Website: Lead for website management and content creation for both the Museum in Rome and the UK Charity; Responsible for tracking website issues and making required edits to the website.
• Newsletter: Creation of regular newsletters to be shared with mailing list subscribers and Friends of the Association.
• Events promotion: Oversight of all cultural programming events promotion, including on social media, the website and in-situ posters.
• Graphic signage: Creation of graphic panels (within the brand guidelines) for exhibitions and museum signage (knowledge of a tool such as Indesign is desirable but not essential. Please note this work is supported by expert brand consultants).

In addition to these core duties there will be ad hoc duties to support the overall work of the museum.

Applicants should have high levels of English and Italian.

About The Keats Shelley

The Keats Shelley Memorial Association (KSMA) is a UK charity that promotes the work of the Young British Romantic poets to inspire and nurture future poets and writers. At the heart of the organisation is a museum in Rome, The Keats Shelley House, located in Piazza di Spagna. The museum serves as an anchor point for UK-Italy cultural relations and celebrating the history of Anglo-Italian literary and artistic traditions.

The Keats Shelley House (open to the public since 1909) is located in the historic centre of Rome and is dedicated to the lives of John Keats (who died at the House), Percy Bysshe Shelley, Lord Byron, Mary Shelley, and their circle. The museum has a core suite of rooms dedicated to the life of Keats as well as a space for rotating exhibitions complemented by a programme of contemporary poetry readings, workshops and public talks.

This is a full time role, based primarily at the Keats-Shelley House, Piazza di Spagna. The salary will be €28.000.
