If you’re curious, driven, and excited to build the future of finance, we’d love to meet you.About the RoleWe are looking for a strategic, knowledgeable, and hands‑on Head of Compliance to lead Hercle’s global compliance function. You will be responsible for overseeing all regulatory, legal, and internal compliance matters, ensuring Hercle operates to the highest standards as it scales across jurisdictions. This is a senior leadership role with broad exposure across the company, including trading, operations, legal, and product.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the company’s primary point of contact for regulatory compliance and oversee adherence to VASP licensing obligations across jurisdictions.Design, implement, and maintain Hercle’s global compliance framework, including AML/CTF programs, KYC policies, transaction monitoring, and reporting.Lead interactions with regulators, auditors, and banking/payment partners, ensuring timely and accurate communication and reporting.Collaborate with legal counsel on licensing strategy, new market entry, and evolving regulatory landscapes.Own and manage compliance risk assessments, audits, and internal controls.Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in digital assets, payments, and financial services to ensure proactive compliance.Provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance requirements, risks, and best practices.Support the board and executive team in embedding a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the business.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.7+ years of experience in financial services compliance, ideally including digital assets or fintech environments.Strong understanding of AML/CTF, KYC, and regulatory requirements across the UK, EU, and/or other major markets.Proven track record of managing relationships with regulators, auditors, and institutional partners.Experience designing and scaling compliance programs in high‑growth or cross‑border settings.Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, with high attention to detail.Nice to HaveExperience in regulated crypto firms or payment institutions.Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent.Familiarity with crypto‑asset regulation (MiCAR, FCA, VASP frameworks, FATF guidelines).Understanding of blockchain analytics tools and transaction monitoring platforms.Why Joining Hercle?Competitive salary.Career and personal growth opportunities.Flexible working arrangements (remote/hybrid).Collaborative and forward‑thinking work environment.If you’re interested, feel free to reach out and send us your CVBy submitting this application, I confirm that all the information given by me in this application for employment and any additional documents attached hereto are true to the best of my knowledge and that I have not wilfully suppressed any material fact.
