You will work with a highly capable team to produce financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and delight customers. This role is within the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team of AWS Data Center Infrastructure Operations Finance, contributing to standardization and team efficiency worldwide. You will coordinate with regional finance teams and act as the finance expert for budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, and ad-hoc analysis related to data center operations. Outputs are included in month-end packages for senior leadership.The FP&A team manages the financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and regular forecast process, providing analytical support to senior management.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Data Center regional finance teams to meet finance objectives.Drive month-end reporting and variance analysis of actual spend versus projection.Lead ad hoc analysis and month-end financial commentary with cross-functional teams (regional and central finance, financial systems such as TM1, and accounting).Ensure compliance with finance and accounting controls and systems.Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls.Basic Qualifications3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical fieldBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsMBA or CPAKnowledge of TableauExperience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)2+ years applying KPIs to analyses2+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysisAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
