Overview HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead and coordinate Construction and Commissioning processes and activities related to project scope. You will be in office supporting the accomplishment of the site execution and the management of the site which is performed by the site manager. Our leaders are the engine for bringing the inclusion and diversity of thought to life and we need you who want to be a part of our journey Your impact The PCCM is responsible for managing and driving Construction and Commissioning processes and activities related to the HVDC station project scope. Responsibilities Plan, monitor and report the overall construction execution progress, cost and man loading forecast on a regular basis. Coordinate and lead the handover process from Tendering; review Construction and Commissioning scope, schedule and budget, including risk and opportunities. Organize and conduct Kick Off meetings for the C&C Team. Develop and plan temporary and permanent infrastructure together with the Site Manager. Report progress and actual information to the Project Director and to the C&C management department, in conjunction with the Site Manager. Coordinate and execute subcontracts with the Subcontracts Development and Delivery Manager. Your background Bachelor of Science in Civil-, Mechanical-, or Electrical-Engineering. 5 years of PM experience in HVDC projects or similar, e.g. Power Generation EPC, Oil & Gas or Automation Industry. Good intercultural skills. Ability to communicate fluently in English, spoken and written alike. Strong leadership, self-competence, and interpersonal skills; a sharp negotiator with an excellent ability to resolve issues, lead teams and work constructively with stakeholders.
