You will be part of the In-Orbit Services team within the Future Systems Department, reporting to the Principal Engineer of the project and working closely with the other engineering disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesDutiesIn your capacity as In-Orbit Services Flight Software Engineer, your role will continuously evolve, but initially your day-to-day duties will include:Take ownership of work packages or full future projects related to Flight Software:Define functional breakdowns, high level requirements and their associated flow-down and manage / maintain the technical baselines to ensure that the design answers the needs of the respective projectManage interfaces and requirements towards Avionics and other hardware sectionsProvide software architectures and conceptual designs, perform technical trade-offs, budget and performance calculationsDevelop elements of low-level software (operating systems, system drivers, communication protocols etc) and high-level software (applications, control algorithms etc)Provide development logic, implementation, verification and validation plansEnsure the delivery on time, on quality and on cost of the work packages in your responsibilityIn coordination with the Bid Manager, elaborate the technical and programmatic parts for Flight Software related work packages to submit winning proposals for new future projectsWhat we would love to see from youBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
