Study of the behavioral correlates and neurobiological mechanisms underlying cognitive and emotional processes, with particular emphasis on the role and pharmacological modulation of neuroendocrine and neurotransmitter systems involved in the stress response, memory processes, and resilience. The research activity involves the use of experimental paradigms to characterize behavioral phenotypes, the evaluation of the effects of pharmacological treatments, and the integration of behavioral and molecular data to investigate the underlying neurobiological mechanisms.
