Textile Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Textile Engineer or someone with another relevant background to oversee and optimise technological processes and quality standards across weaving, circular knitting, and flat knitting operations. The role will also include responsibility for finishing processes in flat knitting. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, troubleshoot production challenges, ensure consistent product quality and support technical product development. The candidate will be part of the company’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Site Director. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and improve technological processes in weaving, circular knitting, and flat knitting. Oversee finishing operations for flat knitted products, ensuring optimal performance and quality. Develop and implement quality procedures, standards and documentation. Collaborate with production teams to resolve process-related issues and reduce waste. Monitor machine performance and recommend upgrades or adjustments. Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions. Support new product developments from a process and quality perspective. Train operators and technicians on best practices and process improvements. Maintain documentation related to process parameters, quality metrics, and audits. Cooperation with the quality team in Gabriel Group Qualifications: Degree in Textile Engineering or related field. Experience in textile manufacturing, preferably in knitting and weaving. Strong understanding of textile machinery and process optimization. Knowledge of finishing techniques for knitted fabrics. Familiarity with quality assurance systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills Preferred Skills: Strong leadership skills. Good collaboration skills. Experience with automation and digital monitoring systems. Understanding of sustainable textile production practices. Ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
