Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer - School of Biomedical Engineering University of Hong Kong,Reference: Type:Full-time.Duration:Three years fixed-term with possibility of renewal.Location Hong KongJob Purpose To develop and deliver high-impact teaching and research in biomedical engineering across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, leading the next generation of leaders in medical technology.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deliver, and assess engaging courses in biomedical engineering.Conduct tutorials, demonstrations and support curriculum design.Develop teaching materials, including hands‑on, project‑based and active learning courses.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance pedagogical approaches and student learning outcomes.Potentially form teams to establish new elements of active learning in the BME curriculum.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or related discipline; Doctoral preferred.A strong track record of teaching in contemporary biomedical engineering, demonstrated through one or more of the following:Foundational BME coursesProject‑based courses, including final year projectsBME summer training coursesBasic electrical and mechanical engineeringFundamental biology & chemistry (molecular biology, biomaterials, tissue engineering)Artificial intelligence & data science related to biomedicineInterfacing engineering with clinical medicineMinimum teaching experience: 10 years for Senior Lecturer, 3 years for Lecturer; less experience may qualify for Assistant Lecturer.Preferred: expertise in hands‑on prototyping in makerspaces, relevant industry experience.Benefits & Compensation A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, annual leave, medical benefits, and a retirement scheme contribution covering up to 15% (Senior Lecturer/Lecturer) or 10% (Assistant Lecturer).
