In this role you will support our customers in troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning activities related to Valmet automation systems on board vessels. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and gain hands‑on experience both in the field and in our offices. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in automation service, develop strong technical expertise, and gain international exposure within a global leader in industrial technology.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport customers in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Valmet automation systems (PLC, DCS, HMI).Participate in commissioning, retrofits, and system upgrades on board vessels.Collaborate with senior engineers and internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.Work on‑site (onboard vessels) and in‑office on the development and testing of automation applications.Provide service support for major cruise operators and other marine customers.What We’re Looking ForRecent graduate in Automation, Electrical, or a related Engineering field (or equivalent education).Basic understanding of automation systems (PLC, DCS, HMI).Problem‑solving mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.Good command of English (Italian is a plus).Willingness to travel (up to 65 % of working days), including aboard ships and on international assignments.Proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop in a dynamic, international environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑oriented approach.Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and learn from experienced colleagues.Why Join Valmet?Global, innovative company with strong focus on sustainability and technology.Extensive technical training.Opportunity to work in the marine sector, supporting major global cruise operators.Exposure to international projects and real‑world automation challenges.Application deadlineNovember 30Valmet is where top talent from diverse backgrounds comes together.
