Skills and Competencies First experience in a sales, business development, or account management role within a software or financial services organization Background or knowledge in fixed‑income credit or financial software is a plus Professional fluency in English is essential Confident phone manner with strong objection‑handling skills Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with high attention to detail Goal‑oriented mindset with a focus on performance metrics Proficiency in internet research, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce is advantageous Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use Education Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree in finance, economics, or a related field is advantageous Responsibilities The SDR drives sales growth by qualifying leads, executing outreach campaigns, collaborating with sales teams, and maintaining CRM records. They research accounts, route prospects, and support strategic planning to expand Moody’s market presence. Drive sales growth by identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound outreach Collaborate with Account Managers and Sales Representatives to develop strategic account plans and territory coverage Route qualified leads to the appropriate sales professionals for further development and closure Co-design and execute targeted sales campaigns to enhance Moody’s brand visibility and market presence Conduct research to gather contact information and account intelligence, enabling a deeper understanding of customer needs and informing sales and marketing strategies Maintain accurate records of all sales activities using CRM software About the team Our Sales Development team plays a critical role in expanding our customer base and supporting the broader sales organization. By joining our team, you will contribute to the growth of our pipeline, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and gain valuable experience that can lead to further career development within the sales function.
