The NB&CMC team is a part of DNV Maritime, Region West Europe in the following areas: Iberia, Italy and Malta.The Area includes all maritime business activities and consists of ~60 employees in 11 locations. The Area operates with two Service Lines:Newbuilding and Certification-Verification of materials and components (NB&CMC) Fleet in Service (FiS) organised as part of business Unit FiS West Europe. Our customers require a wide range of certification activities: from materials and welding procedures to pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, gears, thrusters, electrical installations, automation systems, lifting appliances, complex offshore packages.Classification of big and complex ships, from design phase to final delivery, is part of our service portfolio.From this traditional background, we started a journey covering also advanced future technology: fuel cells, new types of turbines, advanced electrical drives, and lithium batteries for ship propulsion, to name a few.We aim to be the front runner in innovation, digitalization, and customer centricity. Based on this ambition, new ways of working are continuously assessed and implemented for various disciplines. Perform certification and verification of materials and components at the various manufacturers in Italy, under class and non-class related regimes and associated processes. Be part of DNV team(s) surveying our Newbuilding project(s) in the country, including activities through all project phases, from planning to close-out. Position QualificationsMaster/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Systems Engineering. Knowledge/specialization in integrated safety control and monitoring systems will be a plus. Valid driving license. Personal QualitiesProblem-solving mindset towards our customers (internal and external clients). Very good communication skills, verbal and in writing, both in English and Italian. Ability to work flexibly, independently, result-oriented, and self-organized Result-oriented: responsible for professional and consistent deliveries throughout the assigned projects. Willingness to learn and always develop/differentiate own competence and skills. Eagerness to support new processes and tools to drive digitalisation. Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time, in Italy and occasionally within the Area/Region. Availability to relocate depending on business needs. Team player attitude with positive mindset.
