Sales Support Engineer We are now looking for a Sales Support Engineer for Energy Europe to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is Greece, but also Turkey, Italy are possible location. What you will be doing The position of Sales Support Engineer for Energy Europe business Area aims to contribute with technical knowledge and commercial skills to increase sales and relationships with our Customers. As Sales Support Engineer your key responsibilities will include: Developing strong expertise in Wärtsilä’s engine and product portfolio, with a deep understanding of the installed base in your assigned region Demonstrating a solid grasp of customer business models to identify value drivers and craft high-quality, tailored offers Supporting transactional sales and contributing to agreements upselling and upgrade initiatives as needed Collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate proposal development Reading, analyzing, and interpreting contracts and tenders, ensuring compliance with local procurement frameworks and identifying strategic opportunities Communicating fluently in English within a multicultural team environment Proficiency in Turkish (even better if native) is essential, as the role involves daily interaction with Turkish-speaking clients and colleagues To succeed in this role, you should have: A reputation for building trust and credibility with both internal colleagues and external partners Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially in cross-cultural and cross-functional settings The ability to gather and analyze technical and historical data to support sales efforts and streamline information flow A proactive mindset in navigating complex tender documents and aligning them with Wärtsilä’s offerings Additional information: Occasional travel (approximately 20%) is expected to meet with customers globally, although most meetings are conducted virtually Why you and us?
