The School of Psychology, located in the Faculty of Science, is the leading psychology school in Australia, ranked in the top 30 by discipline in THES, QS and ARWU rankings.Position Summary$113,000 – $121,000 per annum + 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading.Fixed term – 4 years.Full time (35 hours per week).Based in the School of Psychology, University of NSW, Sydney.ResponsibilitiesContribute independently or as part of a team in collaborative research on perinatal mental health.Undertake specific research projects under guidance of a research leader and contribute to development of research activities.Work closely with lived experience collaborators to shape assessment and intervention tools.Support dissemination of research outcomes through academic publications, conference presentations, and public engagement activities.Conduct discipline‑appropriate research activities such as literature reviews, experimental research, data collection and analysis using appropriate methods.Assist with supervision of research students where required.Liaise with national and international collaborators to ensure satisfactory project progression.Program experimental tasks using Gorilla or other suitable online platforms.Actively demonstrate adherence to the Code of Conduct and University values.Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university.Selection CriteriaPhD (or equivalent) in Psychology; preferred specialisation: experimental, clinical or developmental.Demonstrated ability to undertake high‑quality academic research with limited supervision.Excellent data analytic skills, ideally with experience in longitudinal data analyses, structural equation modelling, network analysis, machine learning and/or adaptive trial design.Outstanding academic writing skills, evidenced by a strong track record of publications.Experience in designing, programming and running experimental psychology studies.Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and build effective relationships; evidence of interpersonal skills.Desirable: ability to communicate and interact with diverse stakeholders (lived experience collaborators, general public, policymakers) and students.Understanding and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values; familiarity with relevant policies and guidelines.Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to training.About the Successful ApplicantApplicants should systematically address the selection criteria listed above in their application.ContactSusanne SchneiderE: Applications close: November 24th, 2025Equal Employment Opportunity StatementUNSW is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion.
