IT Business Analyst Solution Architect

Responsibilities Within the Core IT System Unit of Generali Asset Management , the Platform Development IT team is in charge of providing business analysis, solution design and application management services to all A&WM Companies and Group entities using SimCorp Dimension (as portfolio management system), and other Pre and Post Trade Platforms granting the development and maintenance of these systems in a consistent way across all stakeholders. This role is pivotal in defining and designing technical solutions Front-to-Back, primarily (but not exclusively) on SimCorp Dimension, ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative, scalable, and efficient solutions that support portfolio management, pre- and post-trade workflows, and middle-to-back-office operations. Your contribution will be essential in initiatives that impact the entire organization or in the implementation of new processes. You will be involved in the following activities: Solution Design & Architecture: Define and document technical designs for Front-to-Back solutions, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms, with a strong focus onCorp Dimension and related transactional ecosystems Business Analysis: Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications for new features and workflows Configuration & Implementation: Configure and implement new functionalities within SimCorp Dimension and other operational platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance Documentation & Guidelines: Draft comprehensive functional documentation and guidelines for internal teams and external stakeholders Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of IT platforms by introducing cutting‑edge technologies and innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency and user experience Collaboration & Governance: Support the establishment of a centralized design authority within the IT Solution Architects team, fostering collaboration and standardization across Operations solution design Requirements Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: Master’s Degree in either Finance or Computer Science (and equivalent) 3–5 years of relevant experience as IT Business Analyst or IT Solution Architect, ideally within financial services or asset management Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to design scalable and robust IT solutions in complex environments Business requirements gathering, functional analysis, technical solution design and implementation Knowledge of SQL is considered a plus Knowledge of Investment, asset & wealth management industry and financial services Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and software development lifecycle Fluency in English and Italian Results oriented and user centric approach Team working oriented, and good communication skills Growth mindset, curiosity and hands‑on attitude Company Profile Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry – a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
