Job Description
& Qualification
The Department of Accounting at Bocconi University invites applications for three full-time faculty positions in all areas of accounting, starting September 1, 2027. We are recruiting at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track), experienced Assistant Professor (tenure-track) and Associate Professor (tenured) levels. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement.
The positions are open to candidates in any field of accounting, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing and taxation. Candidates working on Accounting and Artificial Intelligence are especially encouraged to apply this includes research on how AI is reshaping the production, assurance and use of accounting information, as well as research that uses machine learning, large language models and unstructured data to address accounting questions.

Qualifications:
Junior candidates must hold, or be expected to complete, a Ph.
D. in Accounting or a related field by September 2027, demonstrate strong potential for high-quality research published in leading international journals.
Experienced Assistant Professor and Associate Professor candidates should have a research record consistent with their rank at a leading institution. All candidates should be able to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate level. Teaching is in English; knowledge of Italian is not required.
The remuneration package is highly competitive by international standards and commensurate with experience and profile. Junior candidates are hired on eight-year tenure-track contract, with a mid-term review and the possibility of promotion to tenured Associate Professor before the end of the contract.
