Ensure all welding, mechanical, dimensional, and coating/painting operations are executed in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards, and Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans. This role offers specialization tracks based on technical expertise and project requirements.Location: Project-based (International assignments)Experience Level: 3-10 yearsDisciplines: Welding | Mechanical | Dimensional Control | Coating & PaintingKey ResponsibilitiesExecute specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities per Quality Control PlansIssue Quality Records and non-conformance reports as requiredVerify conformity with specifications and ensure proper material traceabilityCheck materials are correctly received, stored, preserved, handled, identified and traceablePerform visual inspections, dimensional tests, and functional checksWitness tests and inspections, verify results are in accordance with codes and standardsVerify testing and measuring equipment are calibrated and suitable for useCheck availability of procedures, qualifications, and certificationsCollect and manage documentation ensuring records are retrievable in final As-Built dossierFor subcontractor activities: ensure correct implementation of approved Quality Control Plans and witness inspectionsTechnical Specialization AreasWeldingVerify welding parameters and consumables during operationsCheck availability of welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder qualificationsPerform pipeline checks and material traceability verificationCheck welding equipment, pre-heating, heat treatment recordsCarry out visual inspections of welds and issue relevant reportsMonitor extent of repairs made by weldersMechanicalInspect mechanical items, steel structures, vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers, piping, pipe supportsVerify material receiving inspections and incoming mechanical itemsCheck environmental conditions are adequate prior to work commencementMonitor preservation for mechanical itemsWitness inspection and testing per project specificationsEvaluate inspection/testing results and ensure non-conformances are closed satisfactorilyDimensional ControlExecute dimensional inspections during fabrication, construction, erection, installation phasesControl proper calibration of all measuring equipmentPerform measurements during mark-out, fit-up, welding, and after welding/PWHTCheck measurements during assembly area preparation and support pointsPrepare as-built dimensional dossier per project requirementsAssist engineering with constructability analysis regarding tolerancesCoating & PaintingVerify/control correct storage and certification of materialsWitness/perform qualifications of coating processesCheck surface preparation and record atmospheric conditions prior to paintingCarry out wet and dry film thickness checksMonitor correct coating cycles and wet film thicknessPerform visual inspections, adhesion testing, penetration testing, impact testingVerify correct color-coding and paintingQualificationsEducationTechnical diploma or vocational qualification in relevant disciplineAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferredExperience3-10 years in Quality Control inspection activitiesHands‑on experience in at least one specialization areaOil & gas, construction, fabrication, or offshore project experienceSite‑based inspection experience requiredCertifications (based on specialization)Welding: CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS CWI, or equivalentCoating & Painting: BGAS CSWIP, NACE CIP Level 1/2, or equivalentDimensional: Relevant dimensional control and measurement certificationsIndustry-specific certifications as required by projectTechnical SkillsKnowledge of Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test PlansFamiliarity with industry standards (ASTM, ASME, AWS, ACI, API, NACE, ISO, etc.)Understanding of construction sequences and planningInstrument calibration and measurement techniquesMaterial preservation and warehouse proceduresQC database and reporting toolsCore CompetenciesAttention to detail and accuracy in inspectionsStrong documentation and record-keeping skillsCommunication skills for reporting and coordinationUnderstanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProblem‑solving and non-conformity identificationAdditional InformationIn SEGULA Technologies, la diversità, l'equità e l'inclusione sono al centro della nostra politica delle risorse umane.
