Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Position SummaryWe’re looking for a Sr Buyer Chemical Finish in Rivoli, Arco or Reggio Emilia Location. This position is responsible to lead all sourcing activities in assigned commodities to ensure  purchasing leverages in order to maximize regional and global synergies while executing professional sourcing of products.Main ResponsibilitiesSr Buyer Chemical Finish will be responsible:to purchase Chemical Finish components to define and deploy strategy for the assigned suppliers and products,  in order to secure the right level of quality, delivery, costs, feature, technology, sustainability and risk management.In addition to the operational purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, this role  will be responsible for ensuring all sourcing activities, following the sourcing process,  performed on global  scale and has full responsibility for all  deliverables at consolidated commodity level.for negotiations/ agreements.Main opportunities and challenges- Develop and execute Purchasing strategies under the assigned commodities in line with the Regional commodity Strategy  establishing and keeping relationships with existing and new suppliers at an international level- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce overall costs and improve effectiveness- Perform strategic Purchasing activities, searching for better deals and find more profitable suppliers- Negotiate and  improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking- Assess, manage and mitigate risks- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliersJob Position RequirementsEducation: University bachelor degreeProfessional background Buyer or senior buyer with min 5 year of experience, with preferred knowledge in Chemical Finish commodity,  who has worked in a multinational environment, automotive, white goods or industrial.Hard SkillsEssential: Business acumen - Strategic thought·       Commercial - Financial / cost management·       Quality management·       Strategic sourcing·       Negotiation skills·       Purchasing system and program skills·       English good·       Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines·       Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive processes and global marketConsidered as a plus: SAP knowledgeSoft SkillsTeam workAgility and Open – Mindedness  Communication & presentation skillsOpen-MindednessResults orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines“If you are not contacted within 60 days after your application, the search should be considered filled.
