Amazon's Devices and Services Design organization is a central creative studio that is responsible for creating exciting, AI-driven Alexa and UI experiences for flagship products, including Echo Show, Alexa Mobile, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and more. Are you interested in joining the team to lead Amazon’s next innovation? Our design studio is looking for an exceptional Visual UX Designer to join our Expression Design team. The Expression Design team elevates our digital experiences by activating all senses including sound, visuals, motion, touch, and haptics; and is driven to improve inclusion and create a meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products. Key job responsibilities You will be hands on, working alongside a talented team of like‑minded visual designers, and have a strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography and illustrations. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of design experience Have an available online portfolio Experience shipping innovative, successful consumer products Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
