Product Manager Long-Term Contract, Remote

Role OverviewYou will lead the product vision roadmap and execution for software products in the BQA / NATO / defense environment. You will partner with technical security operations and stakeholder teams to ensure that what we build meets rigorous security compliance and performance requirements. You will own product outcomes in an environment where mistakes are unacceptable.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine product strategy roadmap and detailed requirements in alignment with defense / NATO standardsTranslate stakeholder and security requirements into actionable features and user storiesPrioritize features based on risk compliance operational need and technical complexityWork closely with engineering security QA and operations to deliver features on time and with high qualityParticipate in architecture design and security discussions to ensure product compliancePerform market competitor and domain research to guide product decisionsManage Backlog, Sprints, Releases, and Post‑Release MonitoringCollect analyze and act on product metrics usage feedback and security / incident reportsLiaise with clients, auditors and stakeholders to validate product direction requirements and trade‑offsDocument product rationale, requirements and decision‑making logicMandatory RequirementsDomain & Defense / Security Experience:Minimum 7 years in product management (or equivalent) in regulated defense or security domainsProven experience working on projects for NATO government defense or similarly constrained environmentsProduct Leadership & Strategy:Proven track record of owning product vision roadmap and delivery from ideation through launchExperience managing complex products in regulated environments with high accountabilityTechnical & Security Literacy:Strong technical understanding: able to engage deeply with engineers on backend, frontend, security infrastructureKnowledge of security compliance, cryptography, threat modeling, data protectionExperience in systems with strict performance, scalability, reliability and security constraintsRequirements & Prioritization Mastery:Skilled at translating between stakeholder (business / security) needs and engineering requirementsSharp judgment about prioritizing features, technical debt, security risk and compliance demandsStakeholder & Client Collaboration:Experience managing expectations of high‑level security‑sensitive stakeholdersAbility to articulate trade‑offs, justify decisions and influence without authorityProcess Rigor & Documentation:Comfortable working in regimented environments: audits, change control, documentation standardsStrong written and verbal English especially for technical and security topicsMetrics & Feedback Orientation:Experience defining tracking and acting upon product KPIs, security incident metrics, usage analyticsLogistics & Eligibility:Based in Europe (or legally contractable)Willing and able to undergo background / security clearance checksPreferred (Not Mandatory)Prior direct Product Management in NATO / BQA or defense contractsCertifications in product management, security or defense (e.g. CISSP, PMP)Experience with embedded systems, real‑time systems, hardware integrationExposure to international / cross‑border defense projectsWhat We OfferCompetitive contract compensationFully remote (Europe)Long‑term engagement with high‑stakes secure systemsLeadership role with influence, impact and ownershipProfessional environment standards and clarityApplication InstructionsTo be considered submit:CV / resume clearly highlighting product roles in security / defense / regulated environmentsCover letter aligning your experience point‑by‑point with the mandatory requirementsExamples of past products or roadmaps including challenges, trade‑offs, metrics and impactReferences or contacts able to speak to your work in secure / regulated domainsImportant: Only candidates who can clearly demonstrate full alignment with all mandatory requirements will be reviewed.
