Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be the world’s most customer‑centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online.As a member of the Engineering Team, the Construction Manager will oversee the project and construction management of industrial development, including new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives from site selection through contract execution. The role involves construction of new Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sortation Centers (SCs), Delivery Stations (DSs), and auxiliary buildings, as well as renovations and tenant improvements at existing buildings. The Construction Manager will also handle the implementation of facility network infrastructure and serve as Amazon’s representative and primary integrator between construction and other stakeholders, including developers, general contractors, consultants, and internal teams.Key Job ResponsibilitiesManage new construction of Fulfillment Centers throughout the AMET region and renovationsемо and capacity improvements within existing facilities.Advisе on the impact ofaddresses changes in schedule, costs, and permitting.Support construction scope review and elaborate with internal technical teams to facilitate engineering and design efforts on new and remodel projects.Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from small renovations to large‑sized ($100M+) new facilities.Operate independently in the assigned regional area with minimal direction from leadership.Prepare reports, specifications, and technical analyses to define design requirements, equipment, and services for capacity expansions and remodel projects.Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors, and present formal documentation for approval.Provide overall site management, coordination, planning, and specification of business proposals and coordination of subcontractors.Assess project performance through Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.Partner with teams managing base building transition and oversight of all turnover documentation.Review designs and ongoing construction for conformance to current building specifications.Provide critical reviews of design standards to identify value engineering and design enhancement opportunities.Receive, review, and analyze all proposedشهد cost and time change requests presented by external project teams.Guide internally requested changes for validity, impact, and integration once approved.Lead or assist in negotiations with regulatory bodies and Authority Having Jurisdiction entities when required.Maintain positive, clear, concise, and transparent cross‑team communication for all aspects of project delivery.A Day in the LifeThrough each day, you will represent Amazon GES in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects, strategically improving processes, health & safety, and sustainability performance.
